UTTARAKHAND DISASTER

With great regret hereby we inform that few days ago unprecedented cloudburst, heavy rainfall & flash-flood struck Uttaranchal. This caused complete devastation around many places including Gaurikund and Kedarnath, wiping away large amount of buildings and living beings. The Devbhumi Branches of Bharat Sevashram Sangha have suffered the hit, and especially the Ashrams at Keda...rnath and Gaurikund are totally washed away. Among thousands of suffering souls few of the Sannyasis, Brahmacharis and other persons working for Bharat Sevashram Sangha are missing.

Incharge of Mumbai, Goa and Devbhumi Branches – Swami Prashantanandaji immediately went to Haridwar to manage the rescue work, to provide shelter for the victims, to stand there with the volunteers and try to provide whatever he can for the suffering persons.
We request everyone to pray for the stranded suffering persons, and for the hapless missing persons.

Anyone wishing to help financially please send your cheque/DD to our Mumbai/ Haridwar Branch. MAGIC SHOW AT ASHRAM

WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY

Bharat Seavashram Sangha in association with Tata Memorial Hospital will conduct an  Awareness Programme on Saturday June 1, 2013, between 10 am to 11 am at the Ashram. 

Dr. Sandeep Gunjal, Fellow in Preventive Oncology (Tata Memorial Hospital) and Ms. P. Majumdar (Medical Social Worker) will discuss various points highlighting on “Awareness regarding Tobacco Control & Cessation for Cancer Patients and their relatives”.  The program is free and open to all.

MAGIC SHOW

Life is full of Twists and Turns, but laughter and smile can make it enduring and simple.

A thrilling and unique Magic Show was conducted at Bharat Sevashram Sangha – Home for Cancer Patients, Vashi.  This Show was organized by Mrs. Bhartiben Dalal who is our regular donor and well-wisher.  The Magicians named Mr. Christopher  and Mr. Tom came from USA. 

The Show was held on 25^th April, 2013 at 6:00 PM.  Both the Magicians performed magic tricks involving children and patients with a laughter riot for all the patients, staff, and monks present at the venue.  All the visitors thanked the Ashram for giving them this opportunity.  On behalf of Swami Prashantanandaji, Ms. P. Negi presented them with bouquet and mementos as a thanking gesture.
